THE BACKROADS PROJECT

Over the past little while, I’ve been working on something called The Backroads Project.

At first, it started pretty simply.

I wanted to revisit the songs from I’d Like To Leave in the most honest way possible — just me, an acoustic guitar, and the stories that eventually became the music.

But somewhere along the way, it turned into something bigger than that.

The Backroads Project became less about “content” and more about documenting the emotional road behind the songs.

Not just the finished recordings.
Not just polished versions.

But the memories.
The conversations.
The late-night drives.
The fears.
The relationships.
The mistakes.
The small towns.
The moments that stayed with me long after they happened.

BACKROAD DISPATCH

The Backroad Dispatch is a place for the more personal side of the project.

A road journal of sorts.

Early ideas.
Photos from the road.
Stories.
Unreleased thoughts.
Updates from shows and travels.
Fragments of songs and memories before they become something bigger.

Less polished.
More immediate.
More like riding along for the drive.

WATCH THE SESSIONS

I’ll continue adding new Backroads Sessions, Confessions, and other pieces from the project as they’re released.
